How To Get There

From I-5 (travelling north or south): Take Exit 169, head east on NE 45th St. The road drops down a steep hill/viaduct. At the stop light turn left to stay on NE 45th St. At the next intersection (5-way) turn right onto Mary Gates Memorial Drive NE. The entrance to the Center for Urban Horticulture is on the right, just as Mary Gates Memorial Drive bends to the left and becomes NE 41st St.

From Highway 520 (travelling west): Take the Montlake Blvd exit (the 2nd exit after crossing Lake Washington). Head north on Montlake Blvd, past Husky Stadium. The road then curves to the right and becomes NE 45th St. At the 5-way intersection just past Safeway, turn right onto Mary Gates Memorial Drive NE. The entrance to the Center for Urban Horticulture is on the right, just as Mary Gates Memorial Drive bends to the left and becomes NE 41st St.

The best place to park is around the Center for Urban Horticulture. Mary Gates Memorial Drive usually has plenty of free places. You can also park at the Center however since this is University of Washington property availability may vary. The E5 parking lot (see the Site Map) is managed by the University and the parking fee is around $1.50 though it is free on Saturday afternoons and all-day Sunday.
